Florida cottonmouth: Also known as the water moccasin, it is found in and around water throughout Florida. It has a dark brown or black body with a white belly.
Eastern coral snake: The only venomous snake in Florida with red, black, and yellow bands, it is found in the southern part of the state. It is a small snake, only growing to about 2 feet long.
