Weight: African elephants weigh between 2,000 kg to 5000 kg. Indian elephants weigh between 2,160 to 3,232 kg. 

Habitat: African elephants habitat - savannas, forests, and deserts. Indian elephants habitat - forests, grasslands, and swamps.

Conservation: African elephants are Vulnerable, while Indian elephants are listed as Endangered. 

Tusks: African elephants have larger tusks. Indian elephants have slightly smaller tusks. 

Diet: African elephants are more herbivorous, they eat grasses, bushes and trees. Indian elephants mostly feed  leaves, fruits, stems, and bark.
