Lions can eat a lot of food in a day, almost 70 pounds (32 kg) of food in one sitting.

How much does the lion eat?

They eat big animals like buffalos that weigh up to 2000 pounds, without leaving too many leftovers for vultures or hyenas.

What Do Lions Eat? African lions eat warthogs, wildebeests, zebras, grant's gazelles, wild pig, goat, camel etc.

Lions will eat everything they can catch. They always prefer large prey like deer, antelope, giraffes etc.

But they don't eat large mammals like elephants and rhinos.

Here is the complete food list: Warthogs, Zebras, Grant's gazelles, Wildebeests, Cattle, Chital, Bufalo, Wild pig, Goat, Baboons, Hippopotamus, Antelope, Giraffes, Deer, Camel, Nilgai etc.

What Do Lions Eat in the Zoo? In zoos, lions mostly eat horse products but sometimes they eat a variety of meats.
